Liliane danino is a self taught painter and sculptor. Born in Morocco in 1952, Danino finds inspiration in exploring lifes many emotions from varying distances and perspective. Her work embraces different forms of expression inspired by her love of reading and dancing. This is most obvious in her bronze sculptures which highlight her fondness of gesture and physical extertion. Many of her figurines are engaged in acrobatic activities, highlighting the bodys visual langage, balance and agility.
Danino views art as a “language made up of vibrations,” a notion higlighted in her paintings which are infused with an airiness and elegance that radiates harmonious perfection. Her paintings are composed of airy and light brushstrokes which further exhbit the power and beauty of movement.
She has exhibited regularly since 1978 in Israel, France, Morocco, Canada and America shows including 1997 Sibman Galerie paris, 1998 Carrousel du Louvre Paris, 2001 Efrat gallery Tel Aviv 2004 Galerie St Germain des Prés – Paris.
